This bottle made of recyclable number 5 plastic is excellent, worth twice as much IMO. The GASKET NEEDS SILICONE LUBRICATION to seal reliably. A little dab of food grade silicone grease rubbed around the rim of the bottle lets the lid close tightly against a silicone gasket in the lid. Without lubrication the materials stick together too much so it is hard to fully tighten the lid and it may leak when you squeeze it. This is not a design flaw if you understand how things work. The soft silicone "auto-seal" nozzle has a built in surge and backflow prevention valve that prevents leaks while handling the bottle - air pressure by squeezing is required to allow the water to pass through. It won't spit on your face it you raise it too fast for a drink, you have to squeeze or suck for the water to pass. Also comes with a silicone cap on a leash that can be used to keep the nozzle more sanitary. I'll use it to prevent insect intrusion but will have to watch for mildew growing inside the cap. This thing is perhaps over designed so it is not idiot proof but it is perfect for the holder on my motorcycle's dash board. The white color is always cooler in sun and the small amount of insulation helps to reduce sweating if you have a cold drink in humid weather. My old uninsulated bottle got too warm in the sun. I may have to buy another for my bike. The item ID sticker on the side of the bottle contains a foil anti-shoplifting feature but you can remove it cleanly by pulling slow and steady. Very light weight and unbreakable bottle so carrying it in a pack will not be an issue, dropping it on your toes will not break them. What an amazing deal delivered to my door for 5 bucks!
