Men's Georgia Boot GB00145 Georgia Giant Twin Gore Work Shoe

I grew up commercial fishing in SE Alaska; where everyone wheres 'Romeos' or 'deck slippers' around the boat, docks, and town. Leather that cracked, peeled, and wasn't the most comfortable. I bought one of the first Georgia Boots I ever saw, perhaps 20 years ago, and immediately loved them for the comfort and traction on slippery decks and docks in Alaska. Pretty incredible shoe; they last and last and become your favorite shoe. Recently, I completely wore out my slip-on with low-rise heel that I had for ~10 years. Used them everywhere; crabbing in the Bering Sea, hunting in Montana, and extensive use around my home in WA. They are the perfect shoe for relaxed-fit around home, camp, or after taking rubber boots off while fishing or hunting boots and sitting by the fire. Solid soles, great traction, easy on and off. Shallow puddles, mud, snow, slush and dirt and socks still stay dry. I wish GB was still making the low-rise heel, that was my favorite part of my last GB; to be able to slip on and off quick. This Twin Gore was the closest I could find. Requires a bit more to put on, bending over and crunching the stiff heel; but after 2 weeks it is getting easier. Once they are on, they are perfect; comfortable, and solid. Great Shoe, absolutely no comparison for whatever your activity might be.
