These pastels are just okay

I expected the colors to be muted due to these are 'portrait' colored pastels. But I've never yet met a person with flesh that matches the color included with this set. The pastel does apply to the paper smoothly and blends fairly easily. Learn a lesson I had to learn the hard way - cough up the bucks and buy Rembrandts or Senneliers right from the gitgo. You'll then have a premium set or pastels that do the job well instead of four or five low cost sets that let you down and leave a chalkly mess.
