I had to order this rosin because the rosin that came with my cello was not working with the bow. I did evverything rite but, no sound. The dark super censitive rosin worked. What I dislike is that is chalkey.

I have never used rosin before in my life. I bought a cello for funzies, so i had to order some rosin... Before the rosin, I could make sound, but it was pretty sketchy. I got the rosin, did my best guess as how to apply it to the bow. I felt like I was not getting much if any on the bow, I was expecting the rosin to be a bit tacky, not super hard like it is. But I tried using the bow, and WOW what a difference. The area on the strings where I used the bow are not slightly tacky to touch. Seems to work exactly as intended, but as I mentioned it is my first experience. As a recap, it does not seem to take much to get it working right...
