The Blade InFusion 180 helicopter features exclusive SAFE® (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope®) technology, a revolutionary electronic flight envelope protection system that makes it easy for anyone to fly helicopters with confidence by providing flight mode versatility and Panic Recovery mode that automatically returns the heli to a level attitude.
The Spektrum™ Avian™ Smart 15-amp ESC transmits Smart Battery and ESC data straight to your Spektrum transmitter. An Avian electronic speed control provides a one-wire solution for obtaining telemetry data such as current, voltage, cell balance, temperature, and RPM. The 32-bit M4 processor produces higher resolution signal input and more accurate motor output for a locked-in and active throttle response.
The heli features the new ground-breaking Spektrum™ AR6251HX flybarless system. This new flybarless controller features advanced adaptive flight control algorithms, forward programming, and 6-axis M.E.M.S. inertial sensor, that provides consistent low-latency operation.

Nice stable sport flyer
I've been flying helicopters for about 4 yrs. Mostly enjoy sport flying, can do some basic flips and inverted hovering, and this heli has been great for taking me to a higher skill level.
Solid as a rock.
I've had this heli for a little over a year now maybe. I'm the total opposite of those whacky 3-D pilots we see online all the time, as I prefer a nice steady solid hover. This thing delivers for sure. Just used the recommended battery, and have my timer set at 7 minutes on my Spektrum NX-8, and got a nice 7 minute session in, and had 43% battery left! The heli did have some teething problems at the start, actually, it flew horribly! But after some time with tech support, and a proper setup on the radio, it's been so solid and comfortable now, nice and easy, even hands off. A great heli for those who aren't the 3-D maniacs. ;)
Blad Infusion 180
Let me start by saying I purchased a Spektrum NX-8 radio to start enjoying R/C again. Last heli I "flew" was my .32 size Thunder Tiger Raptor, and that was easily 10 years ago. I'm not much a a "pilot" so to speak, I'm a bit of a rookie with the helis, and am happy just kinda hovering around. I never got good, because I was never comfortable flying any of the older, supposedly "stable" helis. THIS little heli, on the other hand, WOW! Other than some issues getting a proper template set up, which Tony P at HH customer service got me through in less than 24 hours by emailing me a proper file, then finnagelin' around with that crazy new radio, and uploading it, the thing worked flawlessly! Super stable hover, which is what I'm all about for now, but makes me feel confident enough to actually want to try to "fly" it around. I'm super impressed! No tail wagging issues I see other reviewers talk about, just a nice solid stable, predictable machine in hover. I know in the grand scheme of things, this isn't much of a review, but so far, I'm so impressed I couldn't help but share my joy with you! lol If you get one, you won't regret it, especially if you're fairly new, or like me, was intimidated over the years by tricky little devious machines! On a side note, I got the 850 mAh 3S smart batteries, and the nifty smart charger, the charger a while ago now with R/C car purchase and am super impressed with the ease of which that all works as well.
