solid and well made

I just installed this and was pleased with the apparent quality of the steel and the way it is put together. The instructions could have been more clearly written, especially in showing how the rope is threaded through the emergency stop. I have a pretty heavy old mountain bike, and my wife (5 foot nothing) was able to raise it to the ceiling with no problem. I used longer and heavier screws than the included ones because I was going through wallboard and into a roof truss. It's not very difficult to install, but might not be super easy for an inexperienced person working alone.

Easy to install

These were fairly easy to install, even I was working with 12 foot ceilings and up on the tall ladder. They do work well, keeping the bikes above head level and out-of-the-way. I don't get these two bikes down very often, so not sure if I would find that easy on a regular basis. I have a third bike or a different manufacturer rack, and I would say these are a little bit easier to use.
