I find the flat grip aligned with the putter face provides confidence and feel that your hands are properly positioned to deliver a putting stroke and a ball that will repeatedly rolling on your start line. Putting is much easier when you are confident of the direction the stroke and speed becomes your only variable. I highly recommend trying this grip
