Tramontina Trifecta

With my recent Tramontina delivery I now have 8.5, 10 and 12 inch carbon steel fry pans, and I am very pleased with how well they perform. I took my time with the seasoning process and now love looking at them almost as much I enjoy cooking with them. They are wonderfully non-stick and their side design promotes successful flipping backwards into the pan. Clean-up and maintenance are just a bit more involved but pay off handsomely, helping me reduce the amount of unwanted non-stick plastic compounds entering our food. Every one of my Tramontina pieces exhibit thoughtful design, high performance and an excellent price point. All this and they'll last forever.

Replacing my non-stick pans now

Cleaned it and seasoned with a few light coats of oil and this pan is replacing my non-stick immediately. With just a little oil the omelets slip right off. The pan heats up quickly and evenly and is a good weight - heavier than my old non-stick but lighter than my cast iron.

Great pan!

In trying to find an alternative to nonstick, this is my first carbon steel pan. Many of the carbon steel pans are very expensive, costing twice as much as this one. I am very happy with this pan, especially compared to my cast iron pans. It's much lighter and smoother so I'm finding it is easier to use than the cast iron. Has good nonstick properties if you properly season it. I also like that it comes with a silicone handle which is removable if you use the pan in the oven.
