Good Frame

I like this floor stand and would love it but for a couple of improvements. I stained the frame pieces before I assembled as I didn't like the light colored wood. There are obvious different woods used to make the frames as they don't stain the same. Different grains and finishes. All in all, it looks good with some color on it. The two pieces of wood (on either side of the stand) that hold your project frame or hoop (IMO) don't tighten down enough for a thinner frame piece. I had to find a shim that would allow me to put my project in the stand and then tighten it down. I wish there was a wider range of adjustments to make when tightening them down. It works, but it adds a piece of wood that can get knocked loose. Turning the frame around to work from the back of the project is something I haven't quite figured out yet but I have a work around. All in all, I like having this to hold my cross stitch project. Much easier than holding it in my hands.

Good but could use some improvements.

Worked better With a stretch frame as opposed to an embroidery hoop. I added no slip hoop tape to the clamps that helped.

A Great Idea, Poor Execution

Used for needlepointing xmas stockings. This is large enough to hold the large frames for stockings (18 X 28") but you can't turn it over to finish the back, you must take it off the floor stand, very inconvenient! The descriptions says you can turn the frame holder, but not one this size, maybe a much smaller frame would work, but then you don't need a stand. The stand base is also not long enough so it is 'tippy'. I was told to try the System 4 frame, so will try that. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
