I shopped for quite a while to find the right mirror for our guest bath. Our cabinet is also (very) dark espresso and this frame's color and style match well. Our above-mirror wall sconce is contemporary. This is a contemporary mirror. The look is simple, clean and modern. The mirror is NOT beveled. The frame is beveled and the frame corners are mitered. The label on the back of the mirror says made in China. Our counter top is 30 inches wide. This unit is 22 inches wide. The dimensions are well-balanced, especially in a smaller room. Our mirror is hung centered and aligned with the sconce, not the counter top nor faucet. For mounting, we cut to 21 1/4 in. long a 1 in. by 3 in. pine board, screwed that to the wall studs and easily slid the mirror's hooks onto screws that we positioned on the board's face. The back of the mirror is covered with a substantial board, which is screwed on. There are two pads positioned on either side to protect the wall and to hold the mirror in place. Two c-hooks arrive screwed onto the frame's top corners and required exact positioning of our wall mounts. I am especially pleased that this frame is thinner than most other mirrors I have seen at this price point and that the stained MDF mimics solid wood. This is not plastic. This is a value-priced quality product that offers a lot of style without screaming pac-rim import. I also love that the look is neutral and does not impose a heavy layer of decor, like shabby, beachy, Tuscan, glam or steampunk.
