Nice chair but could be improved

Chair review I don't give 5 start reviews unless I really mean it…and I mean it. I'm pretty particular about an outdoors chair if I'm going to be spending much time in it or if I'm going to buy a more expensive one. Being somewhat frugal I tend to settle for less comfort to get a cheaper chair. (IE till now using a bag chair I got on sale for 6.99. It's small and lightweight and easy to take to ball games etc. But it's NOT all that comfortable.) I DON'T want to lug one of those larger, more elaborate chairs that have the extras like a sun shade, foot rest, rocker-cylinders, heavier padding etc.  So, I was looking for something small, compact, lightweight, easy to toss in to even a crowded trunk…but yet be comfortable while not feeling chintzy. This chair checked all the boxes plus a few! I'm not a small guy. 6' 3" / 205 lbs. Many smaller, lighter chairs are uncomfortable. THIS chair feels good. The seat back is angled in such a way that, when seated, it feels like you're somewhat reclined, which to me is way better than sitting bolt upright.  The way it wraps and conforms to your body is more like sitting in a mini hammock. Seems like less pressure on your butt than sitting on a flat horizontal surface. My back feels well supported.  I like the feel, others may not(?). I've read some complaints in the reviews in which people complained about how hard it is to assemble. I assure you that those are people who probably always had mama do everything for them, people who drive too slow in the fast lane, people who say "lay" where "lie" would be correct.   This chair is extremely easy to assemble and it takes less than a minute.  Each segment is directly shock-corded to its individual insertion receptacle, so it isn't even possible to screw it up!   I will say that the fabric part does stretch fairly tightly over the frame but I had no problem with it. A frail person might have a little difficulty. The armrests stretch tightly too, so much that the cupholder deforms to a more oval shape, making it impossible to insert a standard soda can. This seems very well made with nice, high quality materials and workmanship so I expect it to last a long time, even with heavy use.  The stitching looks pretty heavy duty and I love the tubular aluminum central connection hub bracket as opposed to the plastic fittings most of this kind of chair uses. Great upgrade. I also love the fact that you don't need to take the armrests with you.  In fact, you could consider removing the shock corded armrest support tubes too, with no ill effect to the rest of the chair. The point would be to make the carry-ability even lighter and more compact while also reducing assembly time.  A note about the armrests: since they are separate that means they're interchangeable.  That means the piece with the cup holder can be put on either side you prefer. I like this chair and I imagine you would too.

Piece of cake

I don't understand why people say it's so hard to “assemble”. A child could do it. The rods are all held together with elastic like those easy up tents, you can't get it wrong. I like that i can rest my head, also the cover separates from the framing so you could wash it. Lightweight for camping. good buy! Only potential issue is its narrow. A 250lb person might want a wider chair.

Lightweight camping/hiking chairs work for us

The chair is very lightweight %26 pretty easy to put together after the first time. It is pretty sturdy too, my 220 lb husband felt well supported. They fit nicely into the bag too. Both chairs would be easy to carry in a backpack. We liked that it has a normal height for the seat so it's easy to get into %26 out of without the difficulty of the lower type camping chairs
