Walk alongside these two charming, dynamic girls as they journey through the adoption transition to a new country full of surprising experiences!

"Finding Family in a Far-Away Land" is a pensive and sometimes comical book that demonstrates how children can experience the same journey quite differently. Finding Family in a Far-Away Land

Finding Family in a Far-Away Land: An Adoption Story by Amanda Wall is a wonderful book for young readers. I like that the book covers multiple cultures across the globe. It shows how the two Indian sisters, Ari and Priya, are adopted and move to another country. It is beautiful to see how they adjust to their new family and home. There are some sweet scenes that will bring out a giggle or two, also. I loved it! Finding Family in a Far-Away Land: An Adoption Story, also, shows that not only can Amanda Wall write a wonderful book. She, also, proves that is a talented illustrator. Her pictures perfectly follow the story. Readers young and old - will easily continue to be captivated and interested in it while looking at the vibrant and colorful pages. Finding Family in a Far-Away Land: An Adoption Story is getting a very well deserved five plus stars. I highly recommend it for readers who are between the ages of four and ten years old. Especially, for families who have adopted or thinking of adopting from other parts of the world. It would make a great addition to the local or school library and even in a little ones classroom for story time. I would love to read more like this one by Amanda Wall in the future. I received a soft cover copy of Finding Family in a Far-Away Land: An Adoption Story from the publisher. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.

Beautiful story

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK Finding Family in a Far-Away Land: An Adoption Story by Amanda Wall is such a precious book written about the authors experience adopting two daughters from India. The story is told with Priya, the oldest day and her point of view. Priya was old enough to remember their life in with their parents and then in the orphanage after they lost their parents, so we get a little of Indias culture mixed in as well. I enjoyed this story very much. It was fun and interesting as the two cultures mixed and the issues with each side as they learned their new way of life. Author Amanda Wall does a very nice job writing and illustrating the story. The illustrations are a little bit different than a lot of childrens books, but yet they work well with telling the story. I love the front cover, I think it fits the story perfectly. This is a very well thought out and written book, and tells a story that needs to be in many families. I think it would be a good library book for schools as well. It would be an awesome resource when needing something to read to children who have been adopted, and because it is a true story I think I would be more meaningful. I highly recommend this sweet book and it is Four Stars for me. A special thanks to the author/publisher for a copy of this book.
