These Boards are Great

Having lined white boards is what my K and grade one students need when I'm teaching letter formation.

Great for handwriting practice

While I like these boards, the melamine backing I am used to is more like solid wood. This is a single sided, dry erase surface with a cardboard backing that is firmer than cheaper products on the market but bows after a while. It will last 2 years is my hope. The lines are wide and really help with practicing letter formation of handwritten words. Black dry erase ink does not stain the boards though it tends to leave a film when erasing -- yet cleans up quickly with a damp rag. I don't have time to do that daily, but the kids deal with it for the most part. Beware that colored markers stain it easily and need magic eraser and elbow grease to reduce stains. Look for a stronger wood base that will last longer, if that is your intention, that usually comes with double sided dry erase boards.
