This book doesn't explain the chords that it speaks about. You definitely need to know all chords already or have another resource to explain chords and the different chord harmonics. The CD for this book was hard for me to follow. In the very beginning of the book, it gives the track on the CD player, but no notation of what it is playing otherwise. This book is not for a beginner and if you are not a beginner then you may not need a book to learn the boogie technique at all.
