Five pounds of square trimmer string measures .105-inch diameter, line length 1293 ft. Replacement line fits most trimmer brands: Echo SRM 235 and SRM 230, Stihl FS 56 RC and FS55 R, Husqvarna 128LD, DeWalt DCST970X1, Ryobi RY253SS, Troy Bilt TB 22, and many more. Straight-shaft string trimmers are useful for trimming grass, weeds, and small plants that your lawn mower can’t get to, but their effectiveness depends on the quality of the trimmer line you use. Trimmer line spins at high speed, creating enough force to hold the line out at a rigid, horizontal angle to cut through vegetation, so it needs to be built tough.
