I don't have intestines and such so I have to take it two to three times a day. It works great for bulking up chronic diarrhea. As far as the taste... I put it in juice. It's not really a bad taste, it's more of a texture thing, which leads me to my next point...drink it quickly as it starts to bulk in the cup. Is it as good as the name brand, absolutely. And, it less costly.

This Equate item works just as well as the comparable product Metamucil, but is a greater value because of the low price. You can't beat that! I guess it works okay. I'm using this to help lower cholesterol my cholesterol as it is supposed to absorbs it and removes it from the body. Makes me super full when I drink it so not using it as much as I should. Of course it also works well to keep everything moving. 💩🚽
