Driver side headlamp was making a bad connection and I would lose the light. This extension made a better connection and also brought the lamp out to a more workable location. It does create more wire to stuff back in hole which may be a heating issue. We will see.

Problem Solved

I have had issues with my driver's side low beam lamp socket getting burned up by heat for the last few years (known issue). The Dorman Socket is ceramic and will not be affected by the heat. It was easy and quick to install.
