House of Cards: The Complete First Season (DVD)

“House of Cards” centers around the political scenarios of power couple Francis Underwood and Claire Underwood (played in a convincing way by Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright). The character of Francis Underwood stops at nothing to achieve his career ambitions and does not hesitate to do so at the expense of other people. The Netflix picture where his hand is covered in blood is very fitting for the series. The character of Francis Underwood does the narration and even justifies one of his schemes by saying that all people eventually die anyhow. The narration shown in “House of Cards” is considered breaking the fourth wall. My husband noted that technique when he was glancing over some of the scenes in “House of Cards”. The character of Claire Underwood is not a shrinking violet either. One of her subordinates finds this out when Claire Underwood confronts the worker about challenging the agency. This series is good for those who like to watch political thrillers set in the Washington D.C. area.
