Read a lot of reviews saying kids were stuck to the wall %26 was worried. It would not work without being on the charger. I left in on overnight and it worked off the charger and held it's charge after that. I read it can take up to 72 hours for an initial charge, but would say mine was in less than 18 or that's when I checked. But thrilled for my son's Christmas!
