This fan is attractive and silent. We have the 54” version mounted to a 9 foot ceiling over our bed. Even at high speed all you hear is the moving air. At its slowest speed you can feel the air moving but hear nothing. I am handy and installed it myself. The directions are good. However they instruct you to mount the blades to the hub after the hub is attached to the motor. This would be awkward and difficult. Instead I mounted the blades to the hub on the floor and then lifted and attached the assembly to the motor. Yes it’s heavier this way but I believe easier. We like the fan so much that we are now replacing one in our vaulted living room ceiling with the 82” version. I highly recommend.
