This 500 gallon per hour pump gives you the ability to water your garden, rinse your car, or fill a kiddie pool for the kids without relying on the force of gravity. After you've placed the submersible pump inside your water barrel, you won't have to lift or tilt your rain barrel to use the last dregs of water. The pump comes with clamps and hose connection fittings so you can connect your garden hose. It also includes a fitting that allows you to link 2 Algreen rain drums together from the top over flow port or from the bottom port. You can use your rain water more efficiently with the Algreen Rain Barrel Pump.

Works great as fountain, not so good for watering
We bought two pumps for our Madison rain barrels to use them with a hose (we used a 25 ft hose with a Gardena Multi Function Nozzle). The pressure the pumps provide is just sufficient but for sure not great. It works nice as a fountain, though. The pumps are easy to install and work very quietly. It did not come with a non-kink hose for inside the rain barrel and I needed another fitting (which was less than a dollar). Overall, for that price I think they do an ok job. For what I am looking for (watering of plants and grass in the front yard) it works good enough. Not so great for a big backyard, though.

Bought this pump to put in my rain barrel so I could hook up my water hose. Unfortunately there was not enough pressure to to expand my "Xhose". Not even enough pressure to operate my watering wand. I returned it.
