Detecto's world-renowned USA-made eye-level mechanical weigh beam physician scales feature a heavy-duty solid stable 10.5 x 14.5 inch (27 x 37 cm) platform, a dual-reading die-cast weighbeam which may be read from either side of the scale. USA-manufactured long-lasting, durable steel construction with an electrostatic powder paint finish for optimum quality. Capacity may be increased by using an optional counterweight. The scale is 59 inches (150 cm) high. Height rod, wheels, and handpost features available. Detecto is the largest medical scale manufacturer in the United States.

Great Product
This product is great, and is as described. I can remove the weighing tray for cleaning (Be advised, just the cover is removable, not the entire tray) I can spill on the display, and wipe it clean, without damaging the device. Other local businesses have similar scales from this company, which assures me that they trust this product as well. I will replace any existing scales with this brand, as long as it continues to hold up. The one mistake I made, was figuring in the weight of the containers holding the contents of which I was measuring. this model maxes out at 4lbs. So my advice is to plan ahead by selecting the appropriate model. (Even if it is a little more $$$!) Please note: The body is made of plastic, I move this product around, so it's only a matter of time before I drop it. I don't know what effect this will have on the scale. It may destroy it completely. Only time will tell. Final though;, I probably would have invested in the next model, as it would have saved me time measuring.
