Renoir City Dance Country Dance Portfolio Notes

This City Dance, Country Dance set of portfolio notes from Galison features two paintings that were commissioned by the merchant Paul Durand-Ruel. The oil on canvas paintings were exhibited in Renoir's first-ever one-man show in 1883. Today, our two couples continue their dance at the Musée d'Orsay, Paris.
