Installed one roll around garden and some shrubbery. I liked the appearance and so I ordered a second roll to wrap around our front trees, for a finsihed professional look. Do not allow negative reviews to sway your choice. This edging is NOT meant to be used with stakes. This edging must be placed into a dug out area, so that it is partially under ground. I dug out about 3 inches around my garden and front plants. I then placed the edging in the dugout and covered with dirt and mulch, lightly patting down the dirt. The point of this edging is not just to improve appearance. It functions to help block weeds from growing roots underground into your garden area. This roll is easy to trim to fit with a basic utility knife. I also like the top edge of this edging. It is a roll-top which will hold its shape much better than flat-top edging from DIY stores. Digging out the area is a pain, but the results are worth the effort. To lessen the workload, always water the area to be dug out prior to digging. The watering will soften the ground. And try to rake up as much grass before digging. Trying to force a shovel through grass roots is very difficult. Finally, if you are having weed issues, sprinkle some weed killer granules into the dug out area prior to installing the edging. The weed killer will be absorbed by the weed roots and may help to slow or stop their spread.
