I was apprehensive when I purchased it due to a few reviews about the cardboard construction. Now that I have it, I love it. The light works great, and the construction is not cardboard, it is a plasticized paper product that is flexible and lined with felt, yet strong enough not to tear. What I like about it: I can now read my kindle in the dark-NO MESSING WITH BATTERIES! The cover is treated with a resin that makes it grab other objects, books or the table, so my kindle is no longer sliding off of things. The outer design looks classy and expensive. I have showed it to several kindle owners this week and they all felt it was better than their hard covers and were very impressed with the light design, which folds in and becomes part of the cover when not in use. When the kindle snaps into the holder, it all looks like one piece, not just a kindle in a holder. One kindle user thought it was a new kindle of kindle that comes with a built in cover.
