Digital display is easy to read from standing position, if you miss (or can't) hear the audio. For me the best feature is it can be used on carpet (I couldn't find another scale that had that feature).

The Most Accurate Talking Scale I could Find

I tired at least 6 different talking scales. My husband is blind and we just needed a replacement for our former talking scale that stopped working. It was very difficult to find one that had a large enough platform for a man's feet and was accurate. Most I tried would be off by about 5% compared to a doctor's scale. This one is pretty accurate. The nice thing for a blind person is that there is a raised surface between the feet to help position them properly. The only complaint I have is that sometimes it will give 2 different weights when stepping on it several times. However, it does seem to settle on one weight after that. Overall, we are pleased. It is light-weight but sturdy. The best we could find.
