When we were looking for a bed, we were set on the pottery barn farmhouse canopy bed. When i was looking around for other similar options, I found this bed at a third the price. Skeptical about its quality and true color I read all reviews to be certain this would be a fine alternative to the PB bed. Reviews on quality were excellent and the color reviews are accurate. This bed is IVORY - which is what my husband and I wanted - NOT pure white! It is a drastically different color than the pure white styrofoam packaging it comes in. At first, compared to pure white, it has a yellowish green tint as someone else mentioned, but I believe it is truly just the contrast. When assembled, this is perfectly light ivory against our ivory walls and ivory bedding. Great quality and reasonable assembly! We bought extra bed slats as a few reviews recommended from a home store but so far havent used them. We probably will in the future as the three provided slats seem insufficient for long term support. Last point, the canopy is a good foot and change below our 8ft ceilings, I was afraid it would make our room look small. Definitely not the case! If you have 8 foot ceilings and a decent sized room, go for it! I am so grateful I found this pottery barn look alike! Would buy it 10x over.
