All good - except for screen issues

The machine is well restored, and in rather good condition, except for the screen which has an error notice within the control center that it isn't a verified Apple product. As a result, the screen has issues with brightness, glitches often when automatically changing brightness levels, and often darkens images/videos. When I took this into the apple store, they said there was a defective display sensor, specifically the sensor that responds to ambient light levels.
