At 13 inches, it's the right height for dresser or night stand! With a 40 watt bulb, it provides the right amount of light needed to illuminate the room. Clear glass base blends in with any decor and the 5 inch wide bottom keeps it stable!!! A shade is not included, but the size required is common and easy to find.
