- This evergreen shrub-like jasmine has an abundance of star-shaped white, fragrant blooms throughout spring and summer. Lustrous, large dark-green foliage grows on long, thin branches reaching 20 feet in height, but often trimmed to 2-4 feet. Ideally used as a hedge or accent planting.
- This evergreen needs a regular water schedule to ensure the growth of a mature root system. Be sure to keep the soil moist or blooming will cease. After the mature root system is established, watering is needed occasionally, except during a drought, watering is needed regularly. Prune annually to control size. Allow up to 5 feet if planning to use as a ground cover or allow less space for quicker coverage.
- An attractive, spreading, shrubby, vine-like groundcover that displays an abundance of large, fragrant, pinwheel-like white flowers with purple undersides. An excellent flowering evergreen for spilling out of containers, or using as a spreading filler between shrubs.
- This plant is part shrub and part vine. Though not a vigorous climber, it can manage to work its way up a chain-link fence. Gorgeous when draped in a thick bower of foliage and flower over low walls or cascading off raised planters. This Jasmine can serve as a groundcover in beds around living spaces where its fragrance is heady and wonderful. Use as a filler between more upright flowering shrubs. Also reliable on partially shaded banks and slopes.
- Thrives in enriched, well-drained soils. Water deeply and regularly during the first growing season to establish an extensive root system; reduce frequency once established. Feed with a general purpose fertilizer before new growth begins in spring.Pruning time: summer after flowering.

Star Jasmine produces an abundant display of cream-colored star-shaped blossoms in late spring and early summer. The vines can reach up to 20 feet tall with proper support, or you can allow it to sprawl over a garden bed as a 1- to 2-foot-tall ground cover plant.
The glossy evergreen foliage of the Confederate Jasmine supplies year-round interest, even after its blooms have faded. Plant this jasmine in full, all-day sun in moist but well-drained soil.
Can be used on fences, pergolas, you name it...but the closer to the house, deck or patio the better in order to enjoy the lusciously sweet fragrance. The tiny white blossoms appear in April and May; the rest of the year this is a handsome vine with small and glossy deep green leaves that can provide complete privacy with the right support.
A valuable perfume oil is extracted from the steam distilled or tinctured flowers and used in high end perfumery. In a dilute form, tinctured flowers are much used in Chinese, Vietnamese and Thai incenses.
