Attention to detail

The tire was great good quality came within shipping date .note I oder this item to be delivered at my local Walmart store, but my oder number didn't match the the store oder so I had end up cancelling my oder because couldn't change the oder number. My tire sat there 3 days before I decided to go up there after making numerous calls. End buying the exact tire through Walmart store at the store cost and not the online cost. Next time I'll have sent to my house..

Continental 245/45R20 PURECONTACT LS 99V

I have been using Michlin tires but since Michlin stopped making the tire that came on my car and I tried to, buy the same tire even called Michlin, so I decided to try these Continental tires since they were highly recommended by Consumer Reports. I love these tires; they hold the road well and ride better like the more they are driven on (a 45-profile tire is too narrow to ride great). I can't tell if they are louder than my original Michlin tires, but they are quiet my only complaint is that I dropped a few mpg on my car, but the handling of these tires are so good and I think that the mpg will improve over time. I highly recommend these tires to anyone wanting to get a tire that holds the road like these do. They are made in Portugal, but they are a quality tire. These tires have made me to consider Continental over Michlin. The price on the Continental was much better to I paid two hundred and six dollars a tire and Michlin was three hundred dollars a tire. Of course, I that did not include mounting and balancing that was a little over a hundred dollars which included lifetime rotations, balancing, flat repair and road hazard. But Continental gives you three years of road hazard with the tire and even roadside assistance for a flat. These also include a 70,000-mile wear and the Michlin were 55000. I have driven these tires about three thousand miles.

Destin Florida Contintental Pure Contact tires

I JUST left Wal-Mart here in Destin Florida (so you know the climate/ road conditions) with our new 245/40R 19XL LS Continental Pure Contact tires for our 2013 Lincoln MKZ and all I can say is... WOW now THIS is how a Lincoln luxery/sports sedan is supposed to ride!!! We replaced our Continential Extreme Contact tires that we only got 36k miles out of and it seemed like I felt every little crack in the road and man hole cover (I was beginning to wonder if my struts might need to be replaced but I only have 76k miles on this two owner car). Now I know it was the tires all along. The Extreme Contact tires are more of a performance tire (firmer for harder cornering) whereas these Pure Contacts are a touring tire (softer for a Very Soft, Very Quiet ride). I must say living in the panhandle of Florida (unless we travel during the winter...) I won't be in a position to rate the snow performance. However I will be in a position to rate how it handles in the rain, and if the ride remains as soft and quiet once I've put a couple thousand miles on them. So I'll follow up with any updated post springtime 2021 and let everyone know how it's going.
