    A faithful adaption

    Love this version with Natalie Wood! Based on the memoirs of the transatlantic stripper Gypsy Rose Lee. The dialogue and situations in Gypsy have wit, bite and emotional range, and the characterizations are more complex. Natalie even does her own singing.

    One of the Classic Musicals of the Sixties

    One of my favorite films since childhood, Its good to see it on Bluray. More older films of this caliber need to be released on Bluray. Younger people can appreciate them better when they see them looking as good as a new film. It could have used a few more extras but the print is nice, colorful and sharp and the sound is clean.
