These are the only trays I'll use. There are multiple reasons.
Boat manufactures always seem to store batteries as a afterthought.
They bury them in deep dark holes. Sometimes one battery needs to be removed
to get to the other battery.
The Studs unscrew from the tray. This is very important, as it gets them out of the way if there is another batter in the vicinity.
Having to work around other trays with the metal studs always there is a PITA..... If not impossible some times.
The trays with the belt's that buckle around the battery always seem to get lost down in the bowels of darkness.
I have bought and installed easily over 40 of the trays in different sizes over the years.
I drill a 1/4in hole in the bottom panel in each corner before I install them. This is to allow any water to escape when washing around the batteries.
One Key note. Do NOT tighten the "Stem winding C@*p " out of the wing bolts.... It says that in the instructions,....... But who reads them...... Right?
I knew this and have broken one at one time, but you could see the wing bolt was defective when it was made. That tray was brand new and I documented the void with pix's and asked for a replacement from Atwood, which they were a little leary thinking I over tightened....... But they did replace it.
