Wide grooves drain water out of the tread to reduce the risk of hydroplaning, and the Discoverer True North's dense sipes bite into the road to boost grip on icy and snowy roads. I was very pleased that Walmart carried this tire. I've had good luck with it as a tire that resists hydroplaning and as a quiet all weather tire. It's not for the raceway, but good for general use . The price is right so you can switch them out every three years.
