Melnor Oscillating Sprinkler

At the price, I was expecting a plastic sprinkler, but even though there is "some" plastic here, the major parts are all metal. The silver base is heavy metal and the black tube is metal. Of course the yellow bits are all plastic, but even the hose connection is great Melnor brass. I recommend keeping the item out of the sun when not in use of course because too much sunshine makes plastic brittle and it will break, but treating this with care and stowing it properly each time should result in many years of good service. I was amazed at the area of coverage. My outside water comes from a pump which is set at about 65 psi, and that's enough to cover a HUGE area. The width of the coverage is controlled by the yellow tabs in the middle... sliding it one way shoots the water straight up and out, the other way spreads it wide. Very, very simple to adjust. The yellow ring at the hose end controls oscillation... all to one side or the other, or just a portion in the middle... continuously adjustable. The tab right by the hose connection controls water flow, but I'd rather control that from the faucet to keep the pressure lower on the hose. Having such a large coverage area means I can run the sprinkler for two hours and be assured that the entire area is soaked deeply. I don't think you will be disappointed by this sprinkler.
