About Playseats
Founded by Dr. Fernando Smit, a die-hard racing fan and former professional kart driver, Playseats produces chairs with an authentic racing feel. The operation started in Smit's small workshop in Holland where Smit mounted an old racing seat onto a metal frame and added a steering wheel and pedal set. Demand for these chairs soon overwhelmed the small-scale operation and production was moved to a manufacturing plant in China.
