Differences in soil, altitude, weather, temperature, precipitation, and seasons contribute to subtle changes in the scent from one lot of Lavender to another.
- COMMON USES:The Lavender of choice for soaps, candles, perfumes and cosmetics but not for aromatherapy in which you need the strong camphoraceous scent. Used in ancient times, the Romans added lavender to their bath water and, hence, the name from the Latin lavare, 'to wash'.
