Bought this for climbing Mt. Whitney. First time using a bivy and it will now be my companion on all my light weight trips. It breaks down in minutes, super light and compact. You have to fold the outer lining around the single pole for it to stay off your face when just using the mesh screen, but after that, it stays off your face and you can check out the stars all night.

Great product to minimalize weight when backpacking!

I purchased this to reduce weight in my pack when backpacking. I don't know how well it'd do in rainy weather, keeping the water out, but in nice conditions, it's excellent! I sleep nice and soundly, with enough room for a change of clothes at my feet. I highly recommend purchasing stakes and some guy lines to ensure the bivy is propped up the way you'd like, otherwise the frame can be a bit floppy. The material quality looks great, the stitching and zippers are nice and smooth. I would definitely recommend this to minimalists that just need a bit of shelter when sleeping.
