Closest to homemade

This is the closest to homemade of any frozen fried chicken I’ve tried. The coating is lighter than most frozen fried chicken. It’s not that hard, thick crust that dominates a lot of frozen fried chicken. I cook it in my air fryer and use a little higher temperature than on the package. I prefer the more natural crust, the flavor of the chicken and the texture. Sometimes I cook it at 400 degrees but it gets browner than some may prefer. If the texture seems a little rubbery, I add 2-3 minutes to the cook time and it’s great. I’ve had to play with the temperature and timing for my air fryer, but the results were worth it.

I love this chicken. Easy meal on days you don’t want to cook. I cook it by popping it in the microwave for 1 minute and then finishing it in the toaster oven. I found that it also cooks great in the microwave alone… if it’s wrapped in a paper towel. Usually, cook two pieces for 3 minutes.

Super picky eaters in my home and this is the only brand we will buy for chicken strips. My son said they are equivalent to chic-fil-a. They are a bit pricey for the amount you get in a bag, but the taste, the texture, and you never have to worry about if there are any bad pieces in it. If you are picky like me with my chicken and worried you’ll bite into certain things. No worries I’ve not yet come across one and I have bought plenty of these bags
