Size comes small

They are too small and would have been great if only they fit! I've worn Altras for a couple decades and have this exact size in other Altras that fit. This pair was painfuly too small! Altra's sizing has become inconsistent, which I've heard from other users too.

Please keep in mind, when you order directly on www.Altrarunning.com, you have a 30 day trial period. You can use the shoes both indoor and outdoor to make sure they would work for you. The color had me giddy but the size is so off. Across the foot it's so narrow. And the heel cushion is taking up all the foot space so that the toe is crammed at the front. I hate them

Bought my normal size. Toes were jammed at the end. Why? Size consistency just makes sense, but not apparently for this shoe. I returned them and decided not to invest in a larger pair as I would have had to go up a full size and I didn't want to risk that they would be too large. Looking elsewhere.
