iRobot Roomba i7 7150 Wi-Fi Connected Robot Vacuum

This was my 3rd different brand of robotic vacuum. The first one was a 'budget' brand, highly rated, purchased online. We were enamored with it - we named it "The Kraken" ("release the Kraken") and we were satisfied. After 7 months it failed - the company replaced it. That one failed....they wouldn't replace it. We bought another slightly more expensive model that was highly rated in a consumer magazine, and it was awful. Small bin, wandered aimlessly, got tangled and caught regularly. Made it back to the charger about 40% of the time. Got a great deal on one of the first models we bought - gave it to our daughter. It died. Good grief. The company did replace it, and since my daughter lives in a 2 story townhouse that I own, we gave her the other (Eufy) so she'd have one for each floor, and gave in and (after much research) bought this Roomba. What a difference! It mapped out the house, and when it is going somewhere, it is such a hoot to see it go around curves and track directly to its destination. It has been caught only a couple of times. The only downsides are the bin size and the run time. It can't clean the entire house on one charge (small, 1 level ranch - 1700 Square Feet), and the bin fills up before the need for a charge. So if you aren't home, it probably won't finish. I have it start every day at 7 AM, then I empty it before I leave for the office at 7:45 and it can finish the job. I will eventually add the self cleaning charger base, but that's quite the expense- it costs more than any of the previous vacuums. Still, to have this level of clean and to have it done so systematically is worth the price of entry. Highly recommend. Just go ahead, bite the bullet, and get a good one to start. You'll actually end up saving money - and frustrations!
