Avallon Clear Icemaker

We do not recommend this unit. We went through 3 Avallon icemakers before we went with another brand. The first unit was excessively loud and reportedly had a bad pump and compressor. The second unit quit working within a matter of 30 days. The 3rd unit stopped pumping and leaked water out the back, soaking the base of our new bar cabinetry. All of this happened over a period of 3 -1/2 months.

So LOUD

I do not recommend the Avalon model ice maker. It was so loud that we could not keep it. Perhaps if it's in a laundry room or garage it would be tolerable, but completely intolerable in a kitchen and common area. Guests would ask us, "What is that NOISE?" We have had a different brand and did not have this trouble. All ice makers make noise, but that one was terrible. And, 3 weeks old, it quit making ice. Very unfortunate.
