Great fan, tough install
We bought 3 of these. I don't like really like ceiling fans but these are super quiet and air flow is very smooth. Install was awkward, especially the fan blades.

Not bad
I replaced another ceiling fan. I already had a light switch and 3 speed fan controller installed in wall. The light is very bright for our room, it's now perfect. I didn't want/need the remote control unit. But I found that the fan speed appeared to not be able to be controlled through my wall mount 3 speed fan controller. The remote offers diming which I didn't want or need. I installed the fan with there remote but I did not connect the light to the remote. My wall switch turns on the lights, but I use the included remote to turn ON/OFF and control the fan speed. I understand why fan companies offer remotes, but I don't like them for many reasons. I too expected the motor to be very quiet but I can hear hum when the motor speed is being controlled especailly less than full speed.

Poor lighting
I just installed 2 in my home and the light is so dim in the room. I tried different bulbs and am having the same issue. Wonder what the highest watt bulbs I can buy for this unit are?
