The unit performs better than I expected. After running the unit for a few hours, the difference in air quality is immdiately apparent; the difference is remarkable. Two months ago, I purchased two of the units. Unfortunately one of them stopped working (would not turn on) after five weeks of operation. Today, the Holmes tech support representative told me the company would send me a replacement unit free of charge. Remarkable! I could not ask for a better response. I purchased this as a gift for my daughter. She was getting the Florida allergy kooties! Being a 30-something, she would demonstrate the over-achiever behavior which led to being rundown: hence, sinus infections, etc. This machine took away the extreme allergy symptoms!!! Amazingly, the stopped up head everyday just quit! Her disposition has completely changed since she's no longer constantly sick!!! Loved this machine!

Seems to work for me!
I have extreme nasal allergies. I have the larger one in the great room and the 2 filter unit in my bedroom. They reduce the pollen enough so that my nose doesn't run all the time. Wife says dust in the house is extremely reduced when they are running. Great product!
