Moen Stop Tube, Legend & Chateau 1 Handle Tub/Shower, Knob Handle in Chrome

I Purchased a Moen TL471EP Tub/shower faucet replacement kit from a local distributor in SLC, UT. The stop tube that came with the kit was too large in diameter to fit the echcusion plate and would not work. I had to salvage the original stop tube, that was gold plated, and rebuild it to fit the new application. Also the handle assembly would not work with the stop tube. I had to put the original plastic handle on so the faucet would work. The only parts that worked in the kit were: the cartridge 1225, and the echcusion cover plate, which did line up with the existing holes in the valve body.
