Baretraps Womens Leslie Faux Leather Almond Toe Ankle Boots

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super cute! These boots go with everything - from jeans to slacks, dresses to cut off shorts. They're a true black and I love that they don't have belts or buttons or anything on them. I like the simplicity of the plain black boot. The medium height is really what makes them so versatile, in my opinion. They look super cute with skinny jeans and leggings, especially. They're a nice weight for fall and winter; I can't wait to wear them! They do run a bit narrow, so definitely size up, or you'll have to wear hose or super thin socks. With the faux leather, I think you'll want thicker socks, so I'd go a half size up anyway. With how tall the heel is your foot is pushed into the toe a bit and you'll want that extra half size. I wish I'd gone up a bit. The rouching in the front is really cute. It's done tastefully and the craftsmanship on the entire boot is very well made. I can tell these will last a while. I took a picture with my bare leg (I did pull my leg ALL the way back) to give you an idea of leg size vs boot size. I'm 5'9.5 and 168lbs. I wear a size 7/8 and I'm on the slender side. My calves are normal sized, but I'm pretty tall, so I'd say these are a good size boot in the calf. These are a size 8, so they're very generous in the calf. They're too big for me in the calf, if I'm honest, but if I were wearing boot cut jeans, that wouldn't be a bad thing. I just don't wear anything baggy in that area. I'm not mad at them! They're super cute!
