Purilon Gel is a sterile hydrogel with hydrating and absorbing properties for fast, effective autolytic wound debridement. It is used for wound that need autolytic debridement of necrotic tissue. It provides effective and gentle debridement, ease of use, and superior rehydrating, gelling, and cohesion properties without additives. Purilon is latex-free and sterile. Purilon Gel hydrates necrotic tissue and absorbs excess exudate, slough and debris from the wound. This unique match of hydrating and absorbing properties improves the natural autolytic debridement and moist wound environment. The gel will hydrate when needed and absorb debris and exudate when needed. The good absorption properties reduce the risk of leakage and maceration. Indications:Purilon Gel is indicated for dry and sloughy necrotic wounds as well as wounds with a mix of necrotic tissue such as:-Leg ulcers-Pressure ulcers-Non-infected diabetic foot ulcers-1st and 2nd degree burns-Can also be used in conjunction with secondary supplement to support moist wound healing in generalPurilon Gel should be used in conjunction with a secondary dressing.
