New mount Very Cheaply made!
I originally bought this product 4 years ago. My son decided to break it and needed to replace it. The new mounting system is extremely cheap by comparison to the original product that I bought and is more expensive to boot! The old mount had the set screw about an inch off of the wall, which made it very easy to tighten the set screw. The new mount has the set screw right against the wall, which makes it a lot more difficult to turn the allen wrench to tighten the set screw. After seeing the way that Moen's product has been reduced in quality, I have to wonder if Moen did the same with the rest of their products. I doubt I will ever buy another moen product. If the rest of my bathroom wasn't the same style, I would have returned the towel bar and bought a better quality product. I am extremely disappointed in moen. Moen stood for a quality product at a reasonable price. That is no longer the case.
