"Kool Vue" for the win!

Someone hit my drivers side mirror and I needed to replace it. Of course the Honda dealer wanted [Insert Dr. Evil image] "One million dollars..." so I tried to DIY it. So glad I bought this mirror. Of course it isn't painted and I wanted my mirrors to match so I bough one for the passenger side too. Me and Dad put them both on in about 30 minutes. In my 2008 we didn't even need to take the door panel off. 3 screws a wire harness and a happy dude. Truthfully I like the look of the black better. So what started as a one million dollar job [~$400] turned into $85. Honestly the worst part was buying something called "Kool Vue" which just felt utterly juvenile but that's just me judging a book by its cover.

This was a good purchase to reflect on

When my mirror first broke I didn't see myself fixing it. But a $500 bill from the shop convinced me to try and it turns out it's much easier to watch YouTube for 20 minutes and spend $40 on this amazing website. Mechanical stuff is usually not that hard and carparts makes it that much easier! Thank you! The mirror fit perfectly and I can now see myself fixing these in the future!

Perfect fit

This part was exactly the same as the original and fit perfectly. Very easy to install too. The only thing is that it will need to be painted to match.
