This was by far the largest purchase I've made online. I did not know anything about emeralds but did as much research as I could on the internet, I went to several jewelers and tried to compare sizes, grades and prices but only found one emerald that was near the quality. Most salespeople I talked to had limited knowledge about emeralds. I then called Angara and spoke with an Angara adviser. He was very knowledgeable, helpful and did not set off my spider sense. On Memorial Day there was a 10% sale, I tried to call him but I was out on a boat and had poor signal. We ended up leaving each other messages but did not actually speak on the phone. Later in the day I took a leap of faith and made my purchase to get the 10%. He called me later in the evening "on Memorial Day" to answer questions and thank me for the order. To be honest, I am a believer in "if it sounds too good to be true it probably is". I was terrified while I waited for my order to come. The necklace, an heirloom quality 1.1 carat Emerald was beautiful. I took it to a jeweler and to get their opinion, I asked if they took jewelry on consignment. He said they only buy, but after looking at the emerald he confirmed it was a natural emerald and said it was one if the nicest he had ever seen. I did not get an appraisal, nor did I tell him what I had paid but he gave me confidence in my purchase. I presented the necklace to my wife on June 12th for our 35th anniversary. She loves it, it looks beautiful on her and she get compliment from everyone. Thank you Ron
